Harmonic theme: how is image displayed above project-tag page?
-
Hi,
If you look at the demo site, when selecting a project tag to display projects, a large image appears above the tag. It is the same no matter what tag is selected. But, how does it get there?
http://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com/project-tag/motel/
is an example. Note, this does not happen if a project category is selected.
I can’t replicate this behaviour, or figure out where I might be able to do this. Can anyone help?
Best regards
Martyn

Hi Martyn, that’s a custom header, and you can add one in the Customizer in the Header section.
Just let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Aha! Thank you for helping me track it down.
Could you explain, for Harmonic theme:
i) if I put more than 1 header, will they cycle around randomly?
ii) where are all the places that a header will appear? Many thanks.

They should, as long as they all meet the minimum size requirement and you’ve selected the “Randomize uploaded header” option in the Customizer:
ii) where are all the places that a header will appear?
Feel free to have a look around the Harmonic demo site to see where the custom header image is displayed. I believe these are the spots:
Blog index: http://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com/blog/
Tag index: http://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com/tag/panache/
Category index: http://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com/category/books/
Portfolio project tag: http://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com/project-tag/sign/ – I’m going to ask the developer whether this is actually intended or not, will keep you posted here -
The custom header appears on date archives as well, for example:

Howdy! Thanks for bringing this bug to our attention. Custom Headers don’t appear on portfolio archives in order to bring focus to your portfolio works; the header appearing on tag archives was a bug. :) Sorry for any confusion!
Cheers,
Caroline
