Harmonic Theme – mobile issues

  Hello! I am trying to figure out why when viewed on a mobile site, the background (static page image) is being cut in half horizontally. I tried playing around with it and at one point it showed the full picture on my iPhone, then when reloaded, it disappeared. Not sure if there are spec size issues.

  Also, is there a way to NOT view blog posts on any device (including computer) with this theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The easiest way would be to delete all your posts. :) If I’m misunderstanding what you’re trying to accomplish, let me know.

  It’s not possible to control how the background images on the Harmonic front page are displayed on smaller devices. For this reason, the theme works best with background images that don’t require precise cropping.

  Can you give me any information on the ideal size for the static page image? The image sometimes shows up full on mobiles. Otherwise it is cut in half, leaving just a rectangle.

  There isn’t an “ideal” size for any of the front-page background images in Harmonic, because they are all scaled/cropped to fit any size of device.

  As I mentioned above, you can upload it to your Media Library in your dashboard and I’ll be able to see it there.

  As I mentioned earlier, I’d suggest that you choose a background image that has more flexibility in terms of cropping and resizing, like the images you see on the demo. A strong portrait like your current image isn’t ideally suited to be used here, because as you’ve seen there isn’t a way to control how it gets resized at various screen sizes.

  That’s odd that sometimes it will work, and sometimes it will crop. All on the same phone.
