Harmonic Theme Sidebar Widget and Copyright
-
Hi,
I have started using the Harmonic theme for my two blogs – bylinestenseth.com and copybyline.wordpress.com. I love the theme, but are having some difficulties making it look the way I want and would greatly appreciate some much-needed help.1. I am unable to change the visibility on my sidebar widget. When I click on it, nothing happens. Is this a bug or is this feature not available in the theme?
2. I want to add a copyright notice at the bottom of the bylinestenseth.com website, but am unable to find the CSS code to this properly. I’ve also tried to add the notice as a sidebar widget, but the CSS code won’t allow me to move it to the bottom of the page.
Thank you so much for any help!

Hello there!
1. I am unable to change the visibility on my sidebar widget. When I click on it, nothing happens. Is this a bug or is this feature not available in the theme?
I’ll look into this for you. Please explain your goals to me, and I’ll see why your settings aren’t behaving as expected. The more details, the better I can assist.
2. I want to add a copyright notice at the bottom of the bylinestenseth.com website, but am unable to find the CSS code to this properly. I’ve also tried to add the notice as a sidebar widget, but the CSS code won’t allow me to move it to the bottom of the page.
First, I see that you removed the footer credits from your site by using this css code:
.site-info {
display: none;
}All WordPress.com sites must all display the default footer credits, per our Terms of Service. You will have to add those back.
Please see Section 11, “Attribution.”
Once you add the required credits back, you can certainly personalize that area by adding your own copyright information. Here’s how:
Click Appearance → Customize in your site’s Dashboard. Then, click CSS in your right-hand menu. In the CSS Revisions box, please paste the following underneath all existing text:
.site-info::before {
content: “PERSONALIZED CREDITS HERE”;
display: block;
}Then Save your changes.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Hi thatrobyn,
Thank you so much for the rapid response!So sorry about the footer credits, I was not aware of this! I have changed it so the required credits are back, and added the CSS code you gave me, but my personal copyright credits are unfortunately not appearing. What am I doing wrong?
In terms of the sidebar widgets, I’ve tried to add some text widgets with links to relevant pages, as well as image widgets, to the copybyline website. However, I want the text and images to differ depending on what site you are on. I’ve been able to do this on a previous site by changing the settings and making the widget only visible on a specific site. But when I try this in the current theme I am unable to do so.
Hope this makes sense! Please let me know if you need more info!
Thank you again for your help!

Hi there,
There was just a tiny mistake in the previous CSS (depending on the theme, the requirements of the CSS can be different). I went ahead and updated that and your footer now has your own information!
Hope this helps.
