Harmonic Theme: Social Links don't show

  Where is the Social Links Menu supposed to be on a site with the Harmonic Theme?

  I have added Twitter and Facebook links to my Social Links Menu and saved it a good couple of times, cleared cookies & cache at least twice – still nothing shows on my site https://andreagerakmusic.wordpress.com/

  Where am I supposed to look and see the Social Links Menu at all?

  And what else shall I do so that it WILL be there on my site?

  Dear Andrea,

  I checked out your blog – I found two areas with social links. There’s one on the top (next to the title of your blog) as well as one, as a sidebar widget. Here’s a screenshot of your blog – as I see it: http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/499499/4157f132e1f5b83f7d4a01bc6a5f49a7

  I’ve highlighted the locations of the menu. I think you were referring to the menu on the top, by the side of your site title. Or, were you asking about the social links menu at some other location?

  Strange, I cannot see the social links at all:

  Hello,

  I think I found out the reason behind your issue. The reason why you are unable to see the social links, as well as the sidebar is because your browser is running on a 1024×768 resolution on a 15″ monitor. Most websites (and many WordPress themes, for that matter) are ‘responsive’ (i.e. the design/alignment of elements of the website/blog changes according to the screen size).

  Evidently, your blog adjusted itself on your screen – and hence sidebar, as well as the social links are not visible in your monitor. You may want to compare the screenshot that I had taken in my PC, with the one you took to see the difference.

  So, it’s definitely not a cache issue. The changes that you have made in the site have been updated (and most of your readers will be able to see the change too) – the reason why you’re unable to view it is because of the ‘responsiveness’ of this theme (or rather, the way it is designed).

  Yes it’s clear :-)

  In the meantime, I managed to set the Front Page Template and now much more content will show up, even on my screen ;-)
