Harrassment of excessive "likers"

Can one get rid of a “liker” for any comments that one makes on anyone’s blog? It is a form of blogger stalking.

This is outing out commenter and blogger “iDikko” with http://fluidplans.wordpress.com who seems to like whatever I comment on a blog. It doesn’t matter what the blog post topic has been. This has been going on for past several wks.

He for instance, has been on Helen Blackman’s blog post that was Freshly Pressed: https://helenblackman.wordpress.com/2015/03/24/sad-but-true-childhood-bullying-is-a-good-preparation-for-cycling-on-englands-roads/ and liked nearly all posts.

I sent a note directly to wordpress.com already. He maybe stalking others.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,
Oh great! We have another blogger who thinks spam likes and maybe spam follows is the way to get positive attention. He/she is not the first and indeed we even have another and his followers professing that doing that kind of crap is good for SEO don’t you know? Raincoaster’s salient remarks that were on topic were removed form the last thread like this.

Clearly we need to report bloggers who are into mass following and mass liking. It’s a spammer behavior and Terms of Service Staff need to disable their social features and even boot them right off this site. https://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/

I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Now bowing required but this yet another topic I have yet to publish a rant about. We can disable comment likes and I did that immediately. We can disable likes on specific posts and pages. https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/#turn-likes-onoff-on-specific-posts-or-pages We cannot disable likes and reblogs for logged in WordPress.com/Gravatar account holders on the Admin bar or in the Reader and that’s a royal piss off. Our inability to remove fake likes and fake follows and reblogs cripples our ability to be able to rely on our stats.

It appears one can turn off comment likes for my own blog only.

Someone suggested a white list which I will add a variant improvement: white list based on their email address (and moderated comments), blog etc. which we, blog-owner, allow to comment, like on our blog.

It would be an option for blog-administrator to turn on because there are corporate blogs that may have over 1,000 blog followers…

    Correct!

Someone suggested a white list …

I saw that in the Ideas Forum and the suggestion is re: comments

    Hi there!

I checked our stats for that user. They don’t seem to be mass liking, comment liking, or following. It sounds like they just really like what you post!

That said, I’ll add your voice to the suggestion for our developers re: user whitelisting.

    Uh…Hey, shawnajroberts:

IDikko’s been doing the same damned thing to me. My notifications box is just a solid list of him Liking every comment I’ve made in the past month, which must have taken some doing because I comment on pretty random stuff. He’s either hacked WordPress somehow with a program or he’s devoting hours to this. It’s disturbing and I’m uncomfortable.

I actually came to the forums today to post an inquiry about such stalking on WordPress when I found this thread via search. I’m not sure whether I feel better or worse knowing it’s happening to others.

shawnajroberts, please do not make light of what is happening to maidiebike and I by blithely calling it appreciation. It’s Stalker 101 and it’s creepy as hell. We’d like it to stop.
