Has something in Journalist 1.9 theme changed recently?

The last time I changed my custom CSS was last night, to add an anchor (‘a’) class. It was a pretty simple change, and nothing aside from that anchor class was affected. The site continued to look the same until about 1PM, so far as I know. Right now I have two tabs open in my browser, one pointing to a 1PM refresh of the site, and another pointing to a 3PM refresh of the site.
The main menu bar has spaces between the lines which weren’t there before.
Nothing else has changed, so I’m wondering if wordpress.com has changed something in the last 2 hours?

What do you mean by “main menu bar”. Your theme does not have a horizontal menu. There’s also an annoying little box overlaying the sidebar with the title “Sections” is that what you are referring to?

Yeah, it’s significantly more annoying than it was before 1PM. :) The menu is part of a text widget. It uses exactly the same HTML as (say) the orientation page’s menu bar:

but the orientation page’s menu bar looks the way it did this morning…. the main page’s menu bar does not. And I haven’t changed anything.
