Has the desktop changed? I haven't been on since August

    Hi there, I’m helping a friend with her wp site, and I’m learning on the fly too…to be honest. Has the dashboard changed since Aug, as I’m having trouble navigating around. I can’t find media, or a way to upload or embed an excel sheet. All the ‘googling’ Ive done shows me how on a completely different platform (if that makes any sense). Your help would be most appreciated.

    Hi krisharley,

    There are two different ‘admin’ sections of the WordPress.com platform now. First you have the ‘My Sites’ bar that you can access in the top-right which gives you some overall account settings and the ability to quickly and easily create posts. The next one is the dashboard which is at the bottom of that menu called WP Admin

    This will take you to the more familiar admin dashboard where you can access Media to upload files.

    As for embedding Excel sheet, this isn’t something that I’ve done previously, but I believe this is the only way that you can do this version of WordPress: https://en.support.wordpress.com/excel-web-app/
