Hatch Theme Customization

    Hi, I’d really appreciate anyone’s help with my blog cecmarie.com . I’m using the Hatch theme with a custom upgrade and would like to change the image positions on my homepage so that they are centered (they are currently cut off).

    Also, for the single posts I’d like to have the header title on top of the image (instead of the bottom), place the caption/text directly under the image, and have the date/author/navigation at the bottom of the post.

    I’d really appreciate any feedback or help with this. :)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Update: I’ve changed my homepage images so the issue I mentioned in the 1st paragraph is no longer relevant/visible. However, I may decide to switch back to photos-so I’d greatly appreciate any feedback for future reference.

  • It would be easy for volunteers to try and find a solution if you could make the images available :-)

    Currently there are no images on your blog even on the single post pages.

    Thank you for responding, I’ve uploaded an image as an example :)

    Also, is there a way that I can position the post text under the post title, and put the date/author/tags/navigation menu under the post text? I’d prefer the date/author/tag info to display as one line of text (Ex: Posted by Cec Marie on 1/19/15. Tags:…) if it’s possible.

  • This CSS will make date/author/tag info to display as one line of text:

    .single .byline, .group-blog .byline,
    .entry-date, .byline, .cat-links, .tags-links {
    	display: inline;
    }

    I am unsure how can we change the ordering of the heading, post text and the date/author/tag info.

    It worked, thank you so much! :)

    Can I adjust the position of the picture “Spring Style” on my homepage so that the women’s faces are not cut off?

  • I don’t know how to adjust the photo size. I am not even sure if it is possible at all. Sorry.

    Hi, since you have switched themes, I can’t take a look at this for you, but if you decide to switch back to Hatch, let us know and I can take a look at things for you.
