hatch theme: image sizes

  hi
  I wonder if anyone has any insight into the following issue:

  in hatch theme
  what is the smalles size of PORTRAIT/ VERTICAL image before it gets uneshetically stretched in the tumbnail main page display?
  for landscape/ horizontal images, the smallest possible size seems to be 320 widthx 240ish height (in pixels). strange thing though, if I set my vertically oriented images to the same, 320px width, the images get stretched on the main page’s thumbnail. Why is that? What would be the minimum width for vertical image that would allow it to still look normal in the main display?

  I think I have gone through the theme description when I considered and decided to use the it in the first place…
  I can’t see any specific figures concerning sizes of vertical/ portrait images for optimal display on main page there though…

  Logo: 115 wide, flexible height => this is, if I’m not mistaken, a general description of post pages’ and logo dimensions, isn’t it?

  It’s not a biggie at all, I’ll find the right size eventually, I just thought there might be somebody out there who had done it before and has an answer that would save me the trouble of resizing and re-resizing my images :)
  If there isn’t, I’ll get there in the end anyway but thanks a lot for your advice timethief!
