Hate speech
-
I’ve just discovered that WordPress’ policies do not address hate speech unless it rises to the level of actual incitements to violence. I’d like to hear something about your philosophical position in this area; I can no longer afford to support companies that do not support my values. There is no more neutral ground left.

The best WordPress.COM contact form to use now for Staff assistance is:

Perhaps you are misunderstanding.
I’ve read the policy at https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-guidelines/ and find it does not address hate speech except when that speech is an actual incitement to violence. I have seen the lack of response to hate speech complaints in the past, for instance here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/hate-speech-on-word-press?replies=2
where someone reported a blog full of hate speech and was told by staff to report it, but that was two years ago and the blog full of hate speech is still there.
I am not trying to report any particular content with this post. I am trying to get some reply from staff about what exactly their stance on for instance white supremacist content on their service is. Because as a business, any time they allow racists to use their platform to spread racism, they are allowing themselves to be identified with that message. And I cannot afford to lend my content to a racist company. -
Basically, with the current increase in explicit, public “alt-left” and outright Nazi groups in the US, I need WordPress to make their stance more clear. Is hate speech against the rules? They need to spell that out clearly. Is hate speech A-OK? They need to spell that out clearly, so that everyone can see where they stand.

I am not misunderstanding anything at all. If you need to contact Staff I provided how to do that above.
