Have a Domain with another Service, want to move it over here.

    I initially registered my domain with namecheap (Vegasopenface.com). I was not satisifed with their page builder, so I registered a similar domain (vegasofc.com) here on WordPress and began using the various services WordPress offers. I set up the site registered with namecheap (vegasopenface.com) to direct over to vegasofc.com.

    VegasOpenFace.Com is the domain name I much prefer to advertise (for example, my twitter account is @VegasOpenFace, and I refer people to VegasOpenFace.com). The solution I have currently (set everything up through vegasofc.com, and then have VegasOpenFace.com re-direct everyone to vegasofc.com) was a decent enough solution for this past year, but I want to not have to have this sort of end-around if possible.

    Now that VegasOpenFace.com is up for renewal at Namecheap (in a couple of days), I would like to know:

    1) How I can register the domain with wordpress as opposed to namecheap
    2) Also, move everything I currently have from Vegasofc.com to VegasOpenFace.com once both are with wordpress.

    1) How I can register the domain with wordpress as opposed to namecheap

    While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

    2) Also, move everything I currently have from Vegasofc.com to VegasOpenFace.com once both are with wordpress.

    You won’t need to move anything. Once you map VegasOpenFace.com to vegasopenface.wordpress.com using the instructions above, you will just set VegasOpenFace.com as the primary domain for vegasopenface.wordpress.com.
