Have a message that my domain expired

I have a message that my domain expired, granted 5 months ago, because I have been dealing with family issues. However, when I go to Manage purchases it says ‘never expires.’ My plan is the free plan. Yes, I am not computer savvy so I apologize for what might seem a stupid question but can someone please advise?

The free plan never expires, but your domain isn’t part of the free plan. A domain is a paid upgrade that needs to be renewed each year.
Domains are removed from our system around 40 days after they expire, and are deleted completely about a month after that at which point anyone can buy the domain again, so your domain has long since been released.
The good news is it doesn’t appear that anyone else has bought your domain, so if you want it back you can go to My Site ->Domains and register it again, or you can buy it at a different domain provider if you no longer want to use it here.
