Have access to Site stats after I switch hosting provider?
-
I am moving my blog to a self-hosted site (but still using wordpress.org). I would assume that my site stats (number of visits etc) would not be carried over to the new host.
1.) Would I still have access to these stats after my site is no longer hosted with wordpress.com? – I DO have several months left on my yearly plan.2.) I am using a wordpress.org install on the new host – I know you can export comments, but would my subscribers and “likes” be exported as well?
Thanks,
ArdenThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Arden,
You would have access to your site on WordPress.com at all times. Your WordPress.com site will not disappear even if you move to self-hosted. What I can do is merge your stats if you like and transfer over your subscribers :) Please reply to confirm and I can take care of this for you.
As for likes, please note that that is a WordPress.com feature, so it cannot be transferred to your self-hosted site.
Cheers!

Thanks so much for your response. I have just now switched to self-hosted, and would love for you to transfer stats, subscribers and anything else possible. I do have Jetpack installed on the new install.
Thanks,

Hi Arden,
I see that you have multiple WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites. Please confirm exactly which site you would like to merge stats and transfer subscribers to/from!
Thanks!

Sorry about that.
The old site I wish to extract data from is “Fabulous Over 60 (WP.com)” – this should be the link to the stats: http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=40113789 (not sure if you have to be logged in to see that)
**It is the one with 4800+ views, 100+ comments, 51 subscribersThe new self hosted site I wish to move data to is listed on my drop down as the first instance of “Fabulous Over 60 (Jetpack)” – http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=62527957
**It has 170+ views, 1 commentLet me know if this is confusing. (I set up temp URL’s which is why there are more than one Jetpack)
Thanks!

Hi there!
I have transferred over your subscribers and merged your stats!
Happy Blogging!

Hi,
Thanks for moving the stats etc over. The shortlinks within the wp.com email subscriptions were pointing to my temporary URL and thus getting a 404 error. I deactivated and re-activated Jetpack, which solved my shortlink issue. But the stats are now reset. Can you please transfer them in again? Thanks!

Stats and followers etc still not in.
I forgot to specify that it is the Fabulousover60 (wp.com) account with 4800+ views all-time.
As per my older post in this thread:

HI there,
As seen here the stats have been merged:
http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=62527957
You have over 5,000 views. Please note that while followers are transferred over, and the stats are merged. So it will not remove the stats from your prior blog. We just add those stats to your new WordPress.org blog, which has been done.
Thanks

When I go to the stats for my wp.org blog it says I have 9 all time views and 0 followers. Not the 4800+ and 50+. Am I doing something wrong? You merged them correctly last time.
When I click that link, I get the following:
You are not a member of this site.
If you have just installed the WordPress.com Stats plugin, this error probably appeared because the API key entered in the plugin belongs to a different WordPress.com user account.
The owner of the API key must visit this site’s stats page to grant access.
You are logged into WordPress.com as fabulousover60. To switch accounts, log out.

I did not have the latest update to jetpack. I have since updated it to the current version. So maybe that has something to do with it?
I have since logged out and logged back into my wordpress.org site. Under Jetpack, clicked Site Stats. This is what I get:
http://imgur.com/PximrTkIn fact, when I go to my other stats pages labeled “Fabulous Over 60 (Jetpack)”, none of them show your stats of 5000+ views. They show 23, 117, and 11 views. Not that it’s relevant, but “My Fabulous Over 60 (wp.com)” shows 4816 views

Hi there,
After looking into your account, I found that none of the blog links you were providing were for Fabulous Over 60 (Jetpack).
http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=40113789: divasforeverblog.wordpress.com
http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=62527957: viewsandclues.com/fabulousover60/
The blog you are looking in that screenshot is not the link you provided. The blog you provided in the screenshot is this one:
http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=64781931
I have merged the divasforeverblog.wordpress.com (the one with over 4,000 views) with your fabulousover60.com site, so it now reflects the correct stats.
-
Thank you. Can you merge the subscribers? I had 50 or so.
Also, the screenshot you provided noted that it had 5000+ views. It is now 4847 (which is at least close and much better than 147).
I don’t know what happened but I don’t think I need to understand it.
Thanks,
Arden -
I was able to get over 5000 views because I merged the the two blogs you provided me (none of those blogs included fabulousover60.com). But the actual blog you wanted merged with the blog with over 4,000 views was fabulousover60.com. So, currently the stats you have now for that blog is what I was able to merge here.
If you want the blog with over 5,000 blogs you have to go to this Jetpack blog:
viewsandclues.com/fabulousover60/
