Have just paid $13 to 'map' my existing domain name onto a new blog here at Word

Have just paid $13 to ‘map’ my existing domain name onto a new blog here at WordPress. Maybe that wan’t the right option as the address shows as http://www.leadingpetcaredotcom.wordpress.com
The intention was for WordPress to host the domain and I’d have the blog / site http://www.leadingpetcare.com

    Any advice?

    Hi there,

You’re not wrong! You’ve just got a step or two to complete before your site will come up at leadingpetcare.com!

First, you will need to log in to your account with your domain registrar (where you registered the domain originally) and change your nameservers to point towards us. The nameservers you need to have are:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to give your domain between 1 and 48 hours to fully propagate throughout the internet, at which point it will be pointing at us!

    Thanks!
Done that, so just waiting now!

After that – do I have to pay more money and how do I have the domain ‘hosted’ by yourselves?

    Hi there,

No, nothing else you need to pay for on our end! There will be one more step which you have to take to make it so that leadingpetcare.com is your primary domain (meaning the domain which stays in the URL bar after your site is loaded). You can read about how to make that change here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/domains-settings/#changing-your-primary-domain

Now I just went and did a kind of domain name lookup for leadingpetcare.com, and I’m not seeing any changes having been made to the nameservers (they should be showing by now). You may need to double check that they’ve been updated!
