Have not received activation email so cannot validate email address

    Have created WordPress.com account with my gmail address. Cannot do anything with it because I cannot validate my email address because WordPress.com does not appear to be sending me the activation email, despite clicking “re-send” many times. It is not in my gmail spam or trash, and it is not being caught in gmail tabs – I have checked all of these. I think the email is not being sent. Please advise.
