have people login with email on my blog

  Hi there ! sorry to bug you .. can you possibly help me ?? I a animal Rescue and I am doing an online auction and I can’t seem to get it to work. I am trying to have people comment on my blog by registering with email ? I can’t seem to get that to work .. they can register with Google+, twitter and facebook but how can I set up so they can with email ?? any ideas ?? it used to work . the site is a ‘name’.wordpress.com site ..

  For comment reply by email to work, you must meet these requirements:

  Settings > Discussion > E-mail me whenever > Anyone posts a comment
  Reply must contain the quoted comment notification message or contain “!END” on its own line at the end of your reply in the email.

  I have anyone can post a comment and Comment author must fill out name and e-mail — but at the end of each post all that is there is Facebook, twitter, Google+ .. no email ?? not sure what you mean when you say ” Reply must contain the quoted comment notification message or contain “!END” on its own line at the end of your reply in the email” == sorry ?? can you clarify ?

  if you go to my site .. http://www.bprauction.wordpress.com you can see on the posts that the only way someone can comment/ reply is through the social media buttons .. but I want them to be able to through email as well ..

  In order to allow people to comment on your site with their email address, have a look in your site’s discussion settings at https://wordpress.com/settings/discussion and make sure that the box next to “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail” are checked.

  If their email address is associated with a WordPress.com account, they will be asked to log in

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/

  That is checked off and still not working…the only options that show up are Facebook, Twitter, Google and wp

  Have you also checked the box right under that setting:
  “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”?

  If so, please uncheck it.
