Have spent 2 hours trying to log on.

I am going to cry if someone doesn’t call me. I cannot log in with my username.
Cleared my cache and cookies. Tried Firefox instead of Safari. I Really need to
get to my admin panel and download optimize wordpress for a project. Please help.

(1) How are are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com?
I’m asking because the way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.
(2) Exactly which browsers and versions of them have your tied please? If

using the browsers with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browsers to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/

P.S. I know exactly how you frustrated feel as I cannot log-in under my other username thistimethisspace and work on the blog registered under it. That’s been the case since yesterday for me. :(

RATS! I made the classic error of not checking out the blog linked to your username first.
Go to the footer of your theme and locate this link “Proudly powered by WordPress” and click it. You are posting to the wrong support forum. That’s a WordPress.org install and the correct support forum for that site is here http://wordpress.org/support/
