have valid username, don't know associated email

I need help with the blog http://corecreativity.wordpress.com/.

I created it March 29, 2010, and wrote the username, along with a password, in my little black book, but did not add any posts. Now I am ready to post, but can’t log in.

I have two other wordpress blogs, but only recently learned that each one had to have it’s own email address, and I must have used the same email address twice and disabled this blog somehow. I discovered the email addresses of the two I am able to log into, and changed one of them to another email address to try to free up the address I thought might be associated with http://corecreativity.wordpress.com/, but that did not work.

I have tried recovering my password using every email address that I can think of. The username is not rejected, so I know it is valid. It says it is sending a password change to an email address, but I do not know what that address is!

    Now what?

    Kristen

You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.

This support forum is for blogs hosted at WordPress.com. If your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog then you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.

If you don’t understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

If you forgot to include a link to your blog, you can reply and include it below. It’ll help people to answer your question.

    This is an automated message.

I did leave a link in the body of the text above. The question does not concern the blog called homeschoolartclasses. It concerns http://corecreativity.wordpress.com/. If you want verification that a person named Kristen is associated with Core Creativity, check out http://corecreativitytraining.blogspot.com/.

I probably ran into that email problem and gave up with WordPress, creating the Blogger blog the next day. I’d like to resolve this issue and reclaim my wordpress.com blog.

Sometimes the supportbot misses a link but it means well and saves us a lot of work.

Your best bet is to contact the staff: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

You can have more than one blog on a single email address, or account.

However keep in mind when you talk with the Staff that everything indexes to the email so you will probably have some tough questions from the staff.

How long does it take for a changed email to be valid?

I changed the email for homeschoolartclasses yesterday to an aol account and today I pretended that I did not know the password to see if a message came, but it did not arrive.

I also asked to be notified of replies to this query, and it did not arrive. There is nothing in spam. At all. I have turned the spam filter off to see if that helps. That still does not solve the problem with corecreativity, but I am trying, one step at a time to figure this all out.

Again, How long does it take for a changed email to be valid?

Also, why did the 24/7 help section say that each account had to have its own email address and you say that it is OK?

Each account needs it’s own email but you can have more than one blog associated with an account. Sorry if I confused.

    1) This confirms that the email change is not yet complete. The notice of this post came to the old email address.

    2) When one signs up for a new blog why does the screen not say, “You may have several blogs with your account, but each blog needs it’s own email address?”

When one signs up for a new blog why does the screen not say, “You may have several blogs with your account, but each blog needs it’s own email address?”

Because each blog does not need it’s own email account. It’s only when we wish to have multiple blogs that we don’t want associated with the same username account and email address that we create multiple username accounts — each with a different email address.

The email address we use to create a username account here become our unique identifiers at wordpress.com and all blogs we register when we are logged into wordpress.com are assigned to that email adress/username account.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/

If we wish to have two blogs that are not associated with each other then we must log out of wordpress.com, register a second userrname account using a different email address and register the second blog under it.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
    see also > http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

If you created your second blog while logged-in then you can transfer the blog to the second username account by using this method. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
