Have WordPress host my domains or stay with…Google?

    I’m debating whether to switch one of my domains here to WordPress for ease and less, well Google involvement or not. Pros and Cons?

    Hi there,

    Do you want to use your domains with your WordPress.com site, http://loverpuff.wordpress.com/? If so it’s up to you whether you want to transfer them to us completely or just map them here while keeping them registered at Google. Either way, we’ll be your hosting provider, not Google – if you leave the domains there they will only be your domain provider.

    If you just want to use the open source WordPress software, you can do that at Google’s own hosting if you prefer. In that case you won’t switch anything over to WordPress.com, which is a hosting provider like Google.

    Please contact Google directly for help if you want to install WordPress on their servers. The support forums for the software you’ll be using in that case can be found at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
