Haven't I paid for this already?

Why do I have to pay another $18 to register a custom domain if I’ve already paid $99 for a custom blog?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have a domain bundled with the Premium plan, so you won’t need to pay an additional $18. Are you seeing a charge when you try to check out?

I see you responded to the email that was sent with my original response, but I don’t see your new comment. Can you head directly to the forum page to respond?

Just trying to reply to you has given me no end of trouble. I hope this reaches you.

I never thought to pursue the domain change, because I didn’t want to sign up for a charge that I might not then be able to revoke. But I can try . . .if that’s how it works.

As long as I have your attention, I’d like to ask two more questions.

First, I’ve read the tutorial about email forwarding. But when I visit My Domain, there’s no Edit tab. Will that tab appear only if I have a custom domain?

Which brings me to my second question. Someone else has kindly copied a link to my blog from hers. But it’s the domain I have now, obviously. If I change it, will that link no longer work?

    Thanks.

Yep! That’s how it will work. You can add a domain here:

Yep! This is only available when a custom domain is enabled on your site.

Once you enable a custom domain on your site, any links to that domain or your current WordPress.com domain (zuckerman1.wordpress.com) will direct to your site. So this link will still work as expected.

Let me know if you have more questions, Larry!
