Having a nightmare and want to start from scratch

I had spent a couple of weeks learning to build my website and getting it to a point I was happy with. Then by following some youtube videos too closely without questioning what or why I was doing things I was no longer able to access my dashboard or anything else in the back end. After a week of following all the fixes I lost it and decided I just needed to start a fresh, which was also a nightmare. Now I just want wordpress to go back to how it was when I first signed up so I can start all over again. I almost deleted everything and then I realised that would mean I couldnt reregister for 30 days so here I am. How can I get it looking how it was when I first signed up. It is currently making my web address include .wordpress.com which I really don’t want. When I try and access http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin all I get is a 404 error. What do I do?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

How can I get it looking how it was when I first signed up. It is currently making my web address include .wordpress.com which I really don’t want. When I try and access http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin all I get is a 404 error. What do I do?

Can you confirm the URL of the site you’re working on?

Right now you’re posting in the support forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. The only site in this account is https://rayongland.wordpress.com/, but there hasn’t been any changes at all to this site since you created it two months ago.

It sounds like you might be working on a completely different site, built using the open source version of WordPres sat another hosting provider. If that’s the case, the better place to ask for help is from the community who makes that software over on WordPress.org. You can find their support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
