Having a number of problems

I’m wondering if anyone else has noticed problems with WordPress since about Friday. Since then, I have experienced a number of problems trying to upload an image into my blog posts (I can upload the image, but nothing happens when I click on the insert media buttons). Often, when I click other links in the dashboard interface, those do nothing either. I also notice that support is down until the 29th – which makes me wonder if system upgrades are going on that are breaking things? Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I’m having trouble too . . . In fact the blog has dropped some of the featured images on some of my pages and I am unable to re-install them.

Will you two please try some troubleshooting techniques so we can uncover the cause of your problems?
How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.
Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Which browser and version of it are you using? Have your tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies
Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.

Have you had any recent operating system or security updates?
Sometimes operating system and/or security system updates can cause problems so check for known issues. When you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective. -
I just noticed a problem with my theme Structure by Organic Themes in which my featured image no longer appears in the header at the top of my main page . . . any ideas as to why this wuld happen and, how I could go about fixing it?

You post is odd-topic in this thread. There are existing threads on the featured images issues in the Structure theme. Please be sure that your featured images are sized correctly.Yesterday there were folks who had problems with their featured images on the Structure theme. What was discovered is that they were not presizing the images to fit the constraints of the featured images allowed for by the Structure theme. I too am having very serious problems uploading posts to my wordpress site. All html coding is not working properly. This problem also started about two days ago. For example a word coded word appears in coded form and not in italics.
Can anyone explain why this is happening all of a sudden. The problem has nothing to do with the browser or my upload settings (using Mars Edit on a Mac) because I tried using MacJournal and had the same problem.

The problem is not the featured image. It is with all html coding. My example in my original question did not appear correctly in my original note (see below).
The term ““word”” appears as that (without the quote marks) instead of as italics.
That is the problem.And it’s a global problem with all html coding.
You won’t see errors in my wordpress site because I’ve corrected them within WordPress’ editor.
