Having a problem with header images

  OK, this is a bit hard to explain but I’ll try. When I create custom header images for my blog I make them to the exact pixel dimensions the particular theme tells me (and sometimes even smaller). However, when I upload the image the crop screen pops up forcing me to crop the image. Here’s the kicker: if I do crop as it says, when I load my blog there’s a huge chunk missing that is the exact amount that I cropped.

  I’m running into this problem on a regular basis now and it seems to be happening regardless of the theme.
