I have a blog called ‘mt blogging’ but although I can see it, I am unable to post to it nor edit my posts. I had another blog which I closed, but need some help to get control back to the above mentioned one. My computer crashed and its thrown me out somewhat with password and saved web pages.

    Regards
    John

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello,
I’m sorry to hear you are having this issue.
If its just your site you need access to generally you can access password recovery by trying to login to it in this case via
    https://wordpress.com/log-in
But if its access to your WordPress.com account you need the steps are explained in this article.
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
Maybe read that article before doing any resetting.
If you need extra help we can always tag a moderator to help you further.
I hope this helps solve your issue.

Just before I go for the evening, I seem unable to get onto the right dashboard. There appears to be two, one with only 2 posts and then the one I want with about 25 plus.

    Thanks
    John

What is the URL starting with http:// of the site in question?

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

    http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login correctly under the relevant username account.

If you did not register the site under your username account and do not have the required access, then you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it, and have them act or transfer the site to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Hi folks, thank you @solybarr and @timethief for your help here.

@m0els I just see one site on your account: https://m0els.wordpress.com/

If that isn’t the right one, you probably have a second account under another username. If you can send a link to the right site (with the https:// and all of that) we can try reaching out to the account owner (probably you, just with a different email address.)

Thanks, m0elsblog.wordpress.com is definitely owned by another account. I’ll try reaching out there.

I’m not in the UK and couldn’t call anyway, unfortunately. I also can’t give out the email address of the other account. Can you check your other emails?

I think there was a sky account, but we have changed cable tv providers, so that account is now closed. Other than this, I have a yahoo account and that’s it. Where is Mr Gates :-)
How else can I verify myself, I have my radio licence which is part of my blog address if that helps?

Could I take a new photo of say the “alu box arrived” and it will have todays date and time stamp on it to verify that I have it here at home or even another post like the HF amplifer 1st image showing the background location or something like that.

Off to bed in about an hour as its now 20h40 local time
