Having an issue with the categories side bar in the Mystique theme.

Forgive me, I’m not totally clued up on tailoring the theme to my preferences, I’ve had a go and am slowly getting there, but now I have stumbled across a rather annoying issue.

If I click on one of the categories in my side bar, rather than see a list of all the posts in that category, I instead see the full posts. This makes navigating through each category a rather tedious affair.

Am I missing a simple button to click that enables a simple list of the titles of the posts, rather than the full posts?

By the way, I haven’t launched the site yet, it’s still set to private while I work on getting it just the way I want it.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi purpleblancmange,

Instead of using categories, you can create pages and use the Display Posts shortcode to display a list of posts within that category on a page.

For example, to list all posts in the Uncategorized category, you’ll just have to include:
    [display-posts category="uncategorized"]

Here’s a support article that explains more about the Shortcode:

Please feel free to post back if you have any further questions about this!

Thanks very much Valentine, I’ll follow your helpful link and do some further reading.

I have to admit, I’m not technically minded when it comes to this sort of stuff, but I’ll have a read and see what I should be doing!

    Once again, thanks!
