Having difficulty organizing post

  Hi guys,
  I’ve spend several hours now trying to figure out how to organize my posts and always end back at square one, please help.
  I’ve already personalized my menu with parent categories and sub categories. I had no problem figuring that out. Two of my categories are ‘Recipes’ and ‘School.’ The category ‘School’ is parent to the category ‘ART156.’
  I’ve posted my first post today categorized under ‘Recipes,’ and the problem now is that the post appears everywhere. I’m aware that its going to appear on my home page but it also appears under ‘School’ and ‘ART156.’
  How do I make it so that specific posts only appear under one category and not all over the blog. Can someone please shine some helpful insight, I’d greatly appreciate it.

  Hello,
  It looks like you’ve sorted this out. I visited your site and saw that “Lavender Honey Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches” only appears on the home and ‘Recipes’ pages. Good job.
