Having Difficulty with one "Page" Link

Hope I can explain this okay….
One of my page links called “Malamute Saloon” is actually a place for a friend to contribute items and articles to my blog. It is in all actuality a “post” for him.
I am suddenly finding it difficult adding to it now and wonder if it has anything to do with the lengthy content? Seems everything is slow to respond (editing, adding media). Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This isn’t a post. http://stoutstandards.wordpress.com/malamute-saloon/ It’s a Page. Posts and Pages are different http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ Static pages cannot automatically update and there’s no way around that.

I understand that a “page” is not a “post”…. I was trying to say that but guess I wasn’t very clear. So…… is it because it’s a page that I am having trouble updating every couple of days?
Should I delete older updates to make it easier?

I can’t weigh in on this because I would have never ever created a page for this purpose in the first place. Another Volunteer or Staff will have to assist – sorry.
