Having Home Screen Only Display Most Recent Post?

Ok, so I just started a food blog. What I would like, is that every time I create a new post it appears in my HOME screen. I also would like to have 4 different tabs (which I know how to create) that say Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks. Then each meal would be in each category, but as each one is create it will appear on the Home screen until a newer one is made. Does that make sense? Please let me know if someone can guide me. Thanks!

I guess maybe I should ask it this way.. Is there a way to have my Categories link to my Pages? For example.. when you look at my pages.. I have entries in categories.. and when you click on the categories everything in that category lists.. but can I also have it them list when you click on the Page title I have across the tool bar under the top.. i.e. next to Home, About Me.. etc.???

Copy the categor yURLs from the address bar of your browser and use them as explained here:
