HAVING ISSUES IMPORTING .XML to WordPress.org site

    so I’m moving the blog over to a self-hosted wordpress.org site. downloaded .xml file, uploaded to new site…all is well EXCEPT the xml will not pull in more than 417 images tried over and over and something keeps hanging up the upload.

    so ALL images from posts created ON & AFTER June 18th, 2009 are not showing up in the new self-hosted wordpress.org site’s media library – instead it is a thumbnail of the XML file – on the front end you see ALL the images, as the ones that DID NOT upload to media library are automatically being pulled in from the wordpress.com site URL.

    You need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ for issues concerning the sefl-hosted software. They should be able to help you with the posts not importing issue.
