Having Issues with my header

First I would want to just say hello to everyone. I am new to wordpress and the forums, where I see there is a really friendly community :)
Like any other new wordpress blogger, I have run into a minor problem, which may be an easy fix for you all, but not for me. The problem is with the header and how to get rid of it.
So when I opened up my blog last night it had an ugly header in bold letters saying “MANVSMINECRAFT”… It is really unappealing and I just want to get rid of it. I don’t know if I somehow added that myself by accident or not but it is just plain ugly and I want it out.
So, before panicking and coming to the forums, I tried fixing it by myself. I made a image that I really like, and I went to the “appearance” section and then pressed on “header” where they allowed me to upload the image. So I uploaded it, thinking it would cover over the ugly text. But, it did not cover it… instead, it went right under it.
So how do I get rid of the ugly text and only keep the picture/image?You can see the problem here.. http://manvsminecraft.wordpress.com/
I mean the image I uploaded looks good, but the text above it has to go.

Thanks a dozen! I can’t believe I couldn’t fix that haha. Personally, do you think it is good having an image that takes up the whole space or should I make it smaller?

You’re welcome. I suppose I am odd because I am not among those who are into BIG header images or BIG images in blog posts. lol :D My desire is to have the ability to change the header heights on my blogs ie. to be able to reduce them.

I am trying to find myself a new theme, so much to choose from… recommend any? -
I’m extremely hesitant to make any suggestions because I’m an artist with very strong opinions, and what’s appealing to me is not necessarily appealing to others. There’s a Themes Showcase and it has a search box for narrowing down choices by use of feature filters. You can also use the live demo links to get an idea of how themes you may be interested in operate and display. :)

I think I now have a pretty good looking theme that matches my blog. Might keep experimenting but for now I will leave it the way it is. Must say, I am much more impressed with WordPress than with Blogger…
