How do you put more than 1 gallery photo in one post?
In addition, if I put individual pictures in my post by non-flash method of upload, the picture will appear between my text, but also in the picture gallery I put up before the line of text.
Is there someway to circumvent this situation?

Galleries function in an either/or way; that is, either you put the whole gallery in, or you insert the images one at a time. You do not have to use a gallery if you’re using more than one image; you can just upload and insert them whenever you want, one at a time.

An image uploaded in a post will automatically become part of its gallery. So the way to have a gallery plus an individual image is upload and insert the image in another post, cut its code from the html editor of that post and paste it in the html editor of the gallery post.
Same thing for two galleries in a post, only you need to get the ID number of the other post and use it this way (if you want the thumbnails to link to the full-size originals):
[gallery link="file" id="ID_NUMBER_HERE"]
Or this way (if you want them to link to the so-called attachment pages:
[gallery id="ID_NUMBER_HERE"]
