Having one color menu button on the front page and another on the rest
-
Hello!
The title pretty much says it all. I’ve a problem where on the front page I need the menu button to be white, because my slider is dark/black. On all the other pages the background is white so I need it to be black. So basically:
1. Frontpage needs to have regular/white menu button.
2. Every other page needs to have a black menu button.Anyone who can help with this? I’d be very grateful. I’ve tried just about everything and I cannot come up with anything that works, but you guys are much smarter and more developed with CSS than me, so I was hoping maybe one of you could?
Thank you so much in advance!

I am still having issues with this problem. I was hoping anyone could perhaps take a look at it? I wonder what the easiest solution might be. My template allows me to put a color for my menu, but only on all pages at once.

Hi there,

I apologise for the misunderstanding. If anyone knows how to do it regardless, seeing as the custom css would be the same, I’d greatly appreciate the help. I will also open a case there. Thanks!

Hi @daniabikesas, we do not have the theme that you are using available here at WordPress.com, so we are not familiar with it.
Taking a quick look, you can change the color of the menu icon globally to black, and then change just the home page back to white using the “home” CSS class defined in the opening body selector, like this.
.overlay-menu-toggle { color: #000 !important; } .home .overlay-menu-toggle { color: #fff !important; }
