Having problems in how to set up an audio player on my blog. HELP!

I am technically challenge, I am setting a website for my upcoming endeavor to run for political office, on a very tight budget, Word press will be my means of communicating with the constituency. I have tried and followed the instructions under the support on how to set up the audio player with no results.
I would be most thankful, if someone could step up and show me how or SET IT UP FOR ME with two of the songs that I have chosen. Thanks.Rob Ballantyne

a) what is the URL of the audio file you want to post, starting with http? It MUST be uploaded somewhere so it can be played.
b) what exact code are you using to try to get the audio player to work? Are you putting it in the visual editor or the HTML editor?
