having problems with dashboard display.
-
I contacted them this morning and have received no response so far. I thought someone here might have found a solution.
-
I’m having the same dashboard issues. The image BZJeremy posted looks the same as my dashboard. Has someone notified wordpress admin so they can fix this???

I at first thought it might have been a problem with the latest update to Firefox, but it is happening with other browsers as well. It is random and does not appear to have affected a large number of people (no comfort for those that it HAS affected), and on all the blogs where people have said there blog page was all messed up, when I visit them in FF or Safari (both on Mac), it is fine for me.
Interestingly I have yet to hear of anyone using a Mac that has experienced the problem. It seems to be limited (randomly) to Windows.
-
It’s not the blog itself that’s affected, though, just the back-end we need to use to update and manage content. Strangely one of mine seems to be fixed now, while the other is still broken.
-
You perhaps, but some people are seeing the problem when they view their blogs as well. Both are messed up.

Can everyone having trouble with this please post your Windows version (including a note about whether you have installed the latest Windows Update), the web browser you are using, and the browser version? Also, screenshots are good. If you want to send us a screenshot in support, along with the other info., that would be very helpful. See http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/11/25/how-do-i-make-a-screenshot/ to find out how to make a screenshot.

This is my dashboard: http://maryrules.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/dashboard.jpg
This is my “new post” page: http://maryrules.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/addnew.jpg
And it looks like I spoke too soon, because both my blogs are now broken again. :(

My problem was intermittent Wed & Thurs but no weirdness so far today. I’m using windows XP, and haven’t installed an update since SP2.
-
Already received an initial email repsonse from support (thank you). Dashboard and new posts look just like maryrules. Primarily using IE7 and FFX3.0.7 on WindowsXP. Checked also in Sarafi 3.1 for Windows, but same problem. Able to post slowly, but receiving a lot of error messages. Problem started Wednesday or Thursday.

This is my work laptop. It runs Windows XP Pro. Updates are pushed automatically through sms. I tried viewing my blog using IE7, IE8beta and FireFox. My dashboard looks like that of maryrules. My blog http://www.mymaysa.wordpress.com looks also grey with blue color font. My other blog looks fine but the dashboard is still a problem.
At home last night, viewed the blog and the dashboard just fine. Running Vista and using IE7.

I’m using Windows XP with IE6 at work and I’m having the same exact problem as seen in bzjeremy’s image. This morning, blaming it on my browser, I got the IT department (I’m the webmaster, but I don’t even have admin access to my computer!) to install Firefox, which did the exact same thing to WordPress. We also updated to Service Pack 3, and that had no effect either. However, on my Win32 Vista laptop, everything is fine.
-
laborlawguy – If you prefer IE, you might ask the IT department (who should have suggested this and perhaps they did) to install IE 8 or 7.
IE6 is notorious for bad behavior and you’re probably using 7 on your Vista install, unless you’ve upgraded. For all intents and purposes, IE6 is obsolete.

No XP updates since SP2 is unbelievable – how unsecure must your PC be? Good luck with the Conficker Worm on April 1st – MS published a fix for that vulnerability last October!
What about your anti-virus – that updated or not? Do you actually have any? If not, your blog may present a serious hazard to users. Ditto email.
-
@ronsrealm – I have a heavy-duty Norton anti-virus program that is completely updated but agree that it is way past time to get the Windows updates, so thanks.
-
Norton does not take care of everything, especially in the last few years (since, in fact, Norton sold it). Don’t rely on that alone.

Can I reset the setting..?
I’m using Windows XP, Changing “the encoding for pages and feeds” (reading setting) from UTF-8 to UTF-16,
Now, the display became blank, I can’t new post or open the dashboard on my blog, http://www.sadiasada.wordpress.com, from Windows XP. -
This is a complete longshot, and it may very well not fix things, but has anyone tried resetting their DNS cache?

I’m having a similar problem! When I sign into my dashboard I get a text only dashboard… see example here: http://www.yournewwebstrategy.com/wp_dashboard_problem.JPG
I was getting the normal dashboard previously. I’ve tried several things… uninstalling plug-ins and cleaning browser cache with no luck. How can I fix this problem?
