Having problems with posting photographs

I am having problems posting posts with photographs, they now appear as links where as before photographs would show automatically. Is it because I am using a free domain that things have become so difficult on WordPress. I would appreciate any advice to help me move forward . I seem not able to publish posts on my blog.
