Having trouble changing my domain name. How can I do that?

  I followed the directions you have on your site to change my blog address but I can’t figure out how to change the domain name. I paid for a .com a few months ago but I have decided to change the name/address. How do I do that? I don’t need the old blog (stylemedelicous) because I never fully started using it.

  You can change your WordPress.com blog address (the part that ends in wordpress.com) anytime, but custom domain names are a bit different. They are registered for a year at a time and can’t be changed. The exception is that within the first 48 hours, you can cancel and get a full refund, and then register a different name. This is usually done if there was a typo, for example.

  If you simply want a new custom domain name, then you will need to register a new domain through the Store -> Domains page of your Dashboard.

  Okay thank you. I was hoping that I could just switch it over some how and close the other one since I never used it. Oh well.
