Having trouble changing the location of my menus
-
Hi.
When I try to change the location of any of my menus, it says that the only location option is widget, which would create a wordpress plug in.
But I am on the free plan, and can’t create a plug in. I would like to know how to find the other option.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. The menu locations are controlled by the theme. If you go to Appearance > Menu, you’ll see how many locations are allowed by the theme and where they are. If you’re not happy with the locations, consider changing the theme.

I am using the blank canvas theme. I don’t use any other themes, as I am not conserned about having a decorative theme. The only location I saw was called create a plug in.

In the content options you can enable the menu. At least for me here the menu was disabled by default.
Folow this path:Appearance > Customize > Content Options
If I’m not mistaken, the head menu is the first option.

Hi there,
You can enable the top menu by clicking My Site → Appearance → Customize → Content Options → check the box for “Enable site header and top menu” then click Save Changes.
Next, you can add menu items (like pages) to the top menu by clicking My Site → Appearance → Customize → Menus → Primary → Add Items. Once you’ve added the pages you want in the menu, click Save Changes.
We recommend checking out this page to learn more about adding menus to the site: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
Hope that helps.
