Having trouble figuring out academica theme layout, help!

    Hi anyone,
So I love the acedemica theme but there appears to be a real glitch. The space between the header and the post sections is huge and empty. Is that supposed to be there, or have I just not found a way to shrink it yet? Can someone take a look and see what I’m talking about? Thanks

Have you tried actually publishing some content ie. a post to see what that does?

Hi timethief, yup I just did. As you can see, there is no change…?

If you want a latest posts page, you’ve got two options: option Α, latest posts on your front; option B, static page as your front, latest posts on another page.
Normally the latest posts page has no title of its own: what you see right below the header is the title of the topmost post. On most themes this remains so even if you select option B. On Academica, option B results in a page title. The space you don’t like is the space for that title, there can be no title when you select option A, so that’s either a flaw in the design of the theme or Academica has been designed specifically for option B only. And when you select option A, you can’t remove that space except if you have the Custom Design upgrade.
