Having Trouble Finding Blog on Google/Privacy Settings Issue

    Hello! I am having trouble sharing my blog. The link does not come up on Google. I read online where I needed to check my privacy settings to allow for search engines to find the webpage; however, when I go to my WordPress dashboard, click on settings, and then privacy, it only gives me the privacy policy. I can’t find any other options. I would appreciate any help you have to offer! (My website is hosted through Bluehost. Does this make a difference?)

    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi there,

    As your site is hosted through Bluehost, you would need to post additional questions on the WordPress.org forums, as this WordPress.com forum is meant for users who have their websites hosted through WordPress.com. The other forum can be for anyone who is using WordPress.org through different hosts like Bluehost.

    However, as a quick answer, the setting that you are looking for is in the Settings → Reading page, which will have an option called “Search Engine Visibility” that you will want to have unchecked so that search engines are not discouraged from indexing the website.
