Having trouble getting my subdomain to map to my wordpress blog page

Hello. I am having a problem. I have my domain name registered with network solutions but I have also bought domain mapping for $13 with you guys. I HAVE to make sure their email records do NOT change with network solutions but I am trying to figure out how to have their current blog titled: http://www.keithshortlaw.wordpress.com have a subdomain so that when someone types in http://www.BLOG.keithshortlaw.com it will point to their wordpress blog @ http://www.Keithshortlaw.wordpress.com. I am so confused and do not know what to do to make this happen. Can you please help me out? Sharon Owen 314-518-6966 (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi Sharon!

Currently, we do not offer support over the phone, but I’m happy to help you out here.

You can map the subdomain blog.keithshortlaw.com to your WordPress.com blog following the instructions here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/#instructions-for-mapping-subdomains

Since you wouldn’t be changing the name servers on keithshortlaw.com, you wouldn’t disturb your current email records at Network Solutions. Instead, you would just need to create a CNAME record on your domain keithshortlaw.com that reads as follows:

    CNAME blog.keithshortlaw.com alias of keithshortlaw.wordpress.com.

Can you give that a try?

Currently, it looks like you’ve purchased a domain mapping for keithshortlaw.com. If you’re just looking to map blog.keithshortlaw.com, you will not need the mapping for keithshortlaw.com (you’ll need to purchase another one for the subdomain). Would you like me to refund your purchase for keithshortlaw.com?
