Having trouble migrating followers to from .com to self-hosted

I’m having trouble migrating followers from a wordpress.com site to a self-hosted wordpress site. I’ve followed the jetpack instructions but get stuck when I’m supposed to click on “migrate followers” on the admin stats page after signing into wordpress.com. I suspect that the problem is that I didn’t just migrate the site but the domain name as well and the two sites appear to be conflicting at present. Can anyone help me?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Sorry for the trouble! Our team is trying to find a solution for that issue, but in the meantime you can head to your My Blogs page and hide the WordPress.com site there:

    https://wineoscope.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs

To hide it, find the WordPress.com site (wineoscope.wordpress.com) in the list of sites and hover over the word “Visible” in the Dashboard column. Then you can click on the “Hide” link that appears.

That will hide the WordPress.com site from your dashboard at https://wordpress.com/ so it won’t conflict with your new self-hosted WordPress site and its settings there. You can then migrate your followers from that site’s General Settings page.

If you run into trouble with that, or if you’d prefer to have staff move those followers for you, let me know and I can take care of that. :)

That seems to have done the trick, Rachel, and many thanks!
