http://www.cathyandruzzi.com is not hosted by WordPress.COM.
We are unable to provide support for any sites that are not hosted here at WordPress.COM, and our support docs do not apply to WordPress.ORG software installs.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums.

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.

WordPress.COM does not provide email addresses for domains registered through them. See:

    Hi there,

I’m a bit confused as to what you need. You mentioned this:

All i want to do is obtain a professional email address.

And when @timethief explained that we do not provide full email hosting, you stated this:

i am not asking WordPress to provide a email address.. i need WordPress to provide proof that the my domain name is owned by me.

You can find proof as @timethief stated by going to your Billing History. You can also go to Store > My Domains in your Dashboard.

If you want an Email Forward you can do so if your nameservers are pointing to us:

    Email Forwarding

This will allow you to create an email like: (email visible only to moderators and staff) and forward that to your Gmail account.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

In looking at the instructions for Google Apps – they require adding MX records as part of the proof process – however the MX records are added at the host (Squarespace) not the registrar (WordPress.COM)

I have sort of the reverse of your problem – my registrar is one company, my site is hosted at WordPress.COM and my email is provided by yet a third company (and if it sounds confusing, try it four years ago when the instructions were not as clear) – – and I had to add the MX records at my host (WordPress.COM) – in your case it would be Squarespace and they would be the ones to help with how to

    Hope this helps a bit
