Having trouble transferring a domain to my WP account

    It’s a .nyc domain I purchased from register.com. I changed the DNS settings but it didn’t help when I went to ‘map a domain’ option in my Domain settings. Is there a cooldown time before the register.com cache is updated and WordPress will recognize the URL? I’m not sure how this works.
