Having trouble uploading photos
-
Is anyone else having trouble uploading photos? My either will not upload, or they will not edit once they upload. I’m trying to finish a series on a trip to Rome so photos are pretty important! Anyone else having this problem?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We’re having problems, too. For the past few weeks we’ve tried uploading and every time we upload a photo it moves a few percentage points (as far as 40) and then jumps to crunching. Not sure this is the same problem, but we too are having photo upload issues.

I am having similar problems, I have checked and it isn’t my internet connection as I can upload and download from other sites, it isn’t my running system as it applies to both XP and Windows7. I am at a loss and despite the range of “help” links there doesn’t appear to be one for direct advice. I’m finding the whols issue very frustration.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried both uploaders on Firefox and Chrome, I’ve updated my Flash, and nothing seems to work. The photos always upload to exactly 18% and then they skip to crunching for the rest of eternity. Thinking about leaving WP if I can’t resolve this because I need photos in my posts!
-
I’m using Chrome. The only photos that show are the single uploaded photos into a NEW post. Adding a new photo, or from my media library, into an existing post does not work. If I upload more than 1, they will upload into my media library, but I can’t use them in any post.

These all sound like the same problems I’m having so it’s their system not mine. Does anyone know if other platforms are having or have had these issues? If it is something they are not likely to resolve soon, I may have to move my blog as it is pretty dependent on photos. (Some of the things I post are tutorials and one photo just isn’t enough!) I was thinking of getting a space upgrade but not if I can’t use the space! I hope they get this resolved quickly.

trying another browserIf those do not work we need to know:

I am also having problems with uploading my photos. Fri and Sat I got to upload one but it took along time. Each time it went to crunching, something it never did before, and I could not upload any more. Sat was more difficult it uploaded but would not let me do anything to the photo I had to accept it as it was. Crunching again.
Today Sunday Earth Day I can not even get one photo up. On Fri it a page came up saying that photoshop was the problem and I must delete it from my computer and try again, it didn’t work. My photos are not large a few mb is all.
On Sat I used Picasa to upload, and got one but with difficulty, crunching .
Today I can not upload with either photoshop or Picasa.
natureschild122.wordpress.com is my blog. -
All I do to upload a photo is I save it to my laptop. Then I click “New Post” and I press the photo option. It has a section where you can browse and you click that and you can search in your laptop for the photo. And for videos you press “new post” and click the video option and put the link in there from online such as youtube…or browse. If you check out my blog you’ll see there’s a lot of pictures and videos.

These people aren’t having trouble figuring out how. They know how. They’re having trouble because it isn’t working for them.

Yup – I’m having trouble too and glad to see it is not just me. I had the same issue as last week and it seems that this is an on going issue. Hopefully it will be sorted out quickly!

Do you have any luck if you check or uncheck “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages” at Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard?

Same problem, uploaded hundreds of pictures before now it doesn’t work or it takes one in about 2 minutes..?
Done the cache and cookie part, updated flash but nothing seems to help, they’re the same type of pics from the same camera and the same computer.. Doesn’t work with WIFI or connected via a DSL cable??Hopefully this will be solved SOON!!

Clearly it remains an issue with WordPress, like all the other replies it isn’t a consistent failure and doesn’t depend on the running system, connection method or whether the upload is single or multiple, often with multiple uploads one or two may be successful then nothing usually requiring several more attempts to complete.

Have you tried checking or unchecking “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages” at Users -> Personal Settings in your blog’s Dashboard?

Still having the problem and, frankly, getting quite frustrated! Has anyone had any luck? I can upload a single photo, sometimes, but I can’t edit the photos once I choose them (I’m trying to rotate them) and they are not loading on the page. I can post a single photo from my phone…too bad I didn’t do all my Rome photography with that!

I recently uploaded nine images, four of which wouldn’t load, I tried again and then I was able to upload one then the remaining images. The added problem is that once saved in draft the images are “lost” until I return to the gallery and inset them again. The same applies regardless of whether I use the multi loader or browser loader
