Having trouble with buttons

  Hi there. Total newbie at blogging here so I’m quite sure I’m doing something wrong. As a slight cosmetic upgrade to my new blog, I was trying to replace the default links for word press with “buttons” in my sidebar (which would be stored in my “links” category).

  I’ve tried using the buttons available on the FAQ help for wordpress, however when I follow the instructions, either nothing happens when I post the URL that was copy/pasted (I’m guessing that’s my problem) from the FAQ page showing all the available buttons, or I only get the text I enter into the “name” field.

  Can anyone post step-by-step instructions on what to do? If possible I’d like to link to use buttons from Technorati and other sites as well. I’ve read the available information on this site and am still having some problems.

  what you will need to do is use a Text widget.
