Having trouble with dragging widgets
-
OK, I work on a laptop computer. It has a fingertip screen in place of a mouse. Because of the limited screen I cannot get the widget far enough to even close to where I want it to go. What can I do about this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

And sorry you had to wait 30 minutes for a reply, but staff (we are just volunteers) have implemented a cockamamie 30 minute “Awaiting review by Staff” delay, so we can’t access your question or answer it until 30 minutes after you post it.
This is supposed to improve your “warm fuzzy” feeling about wordpress and convince you that staff are on the job, every minute of every day.
So, please feel free to commence with the warm and fuzzy

Bets on how long the “Awaiting review by Staff” thing lasts when they can’t answer the OP’s question in 35 minutes, even though the answer is in their support literature?
@switchback: justjennifer’s link will help you…

@switchback, also you can collapse the “available widgets” and “inactive widgets” area by clicking on the right end of the title bars for those sections.
Also, if you grab a widget and drag it down to the bottom of the screen, or to the top of the screen (depending on which way you are going) the screen should automatically scroll for you. At least it does on my laptops.

It’s switchwitch, not switchback. lol.
Problem solved. Also wrote to support, but I didn’t think they would respond anytime soon. (they don’t on certain other sites.)
*Warm and Fuzzy Feelings* So far.
Got another question though….I would like my front page to just display my welcoming message and the various widgets, not whatever latest post I have posted. Is this possible to do, or set up? BTW I am not good at all at computer stuff, learning how to navigate this site has been an experience!

Hi there switchwitch
I would like my front page to just display my welcoming message I would like my front page to just display my welcoming message and the various widgets, not whatever latest post I have posted.
You can use a sticky post for your welcoming message. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts and by changing the settings here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most ___ posts. There you can limit the number of posts displaying on your front page to only 1.Or if your wish you can create a static front page for your welcoming message. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
Lastly, as you are using the Motion theme you may find this post of interest. > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/custom-header-image-in-motion/
Best wishes with your blog. :)
