having trouble with youtube embed

  People do it. I’ve had email through my contact page. Actually over the past several months, I’ve been receiving about ten emails per week with questions about .COM and .ORG. I’m thinking about starting to charge for it.

  Hi!

  I have the same problem but I can’t get it to work! When I paste the youtube URL , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AivmiFVsxV0, in visual mode, add Video>video URL it turns the whole thing into a link. So in the HTML mode it looks like this: watch?v=AivmiFVsxV0 !!!

  I found another way to to it. If you show the “kitchen sink” there is an “insert embedded media” button. If I paste the URL in there and hit insert a yellow box with a flash symbol appears in my post. But when I hit save, it disappears!

  @bjornuppeke, what you suggest will not work at the wordpress.com free hosting service. You are self-hosted and using software which is different from what we use here. You have a lot fewer limitations.
