  I am trying to replace my header with a jpeg. I am able to pull it up in the presentation window. but when i browse for the jpeg and choose it, after cropping the jpeg, only the left third of the jpeg shows up. Is there a way to have a header that I created myself? And if so how do I upload it.

  If you are uploading an image of the specific size required for the theme you should have not problem at all. To check the size this is useful http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/08/which-themes-can-i-add-a-header-image-to/
