  How do I make the header go all the way across the top of the page?

  That’s actually a little more tricky than it seems because of the image you’re using and how the Oxygen theme is already styles. There is also probably more than one way to do it. Here’s what I came up with:

  html {
  	background: url('http://gddesignerstylehiredotcom.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/a4-sheet-white-background.jpg') top center repeat;
  }
  
  body.custom-background {
  	background: url('http://gddesignerstylehiredotcom.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/cropped-sign_header-e1345056124314.jpg') top center no-repeat;
  	padding-top: 97px;
  }
  
  #masthead a[rel="home"] {
  	display: none;
  }

  Try it out and see if it’s the result you were after.
