sorry, i’m a new user and just figured my question wasn’t clear enough.
My blog is http://lingzongtang.wordpress.comi was working with it with mozilla firefox yesterday and everything seems to be working fine.
Today i managed to get a friend to comment on the outlook but the header doesn’t appear. it seems that the header doesn’t appear on Internet Explorer. Is there a way to resolve the issue? Thanks! -
It’s a very slow-loading header. I think the problem might be the connection, rather than the browser. Slower connections will not load that. You might want to try optimizing it for the web, although it doesn’t seem to be so bad. Can’t hurt.

Also, look at the actual file size of the image you created for your header. I’ve seen a few that were in the MB range. If at all possible, keep it under 150k. You might have to optimize it and then upload it again.

Yes it’s best if you reduce the size of that image. It causes frustration amongst readers that want to read a blog but it takes a long time to load.
Use http://www.imageoptimizer.net/Pages/Home.aspx , I always use it. Don’t optimize the image so that it looks ugly, tho !

thank you all for your suggestions.. indeed i’ve tried using a .gif file that is 30kbs then the current jpeg i’m using that is about 500+kbs.. and it does appear on ie! but the resolution was affected.. so now i’m working on making it look better! thank you guys for the prompt replies!

Text will always look better in a gif or png because they do not anti-alias text. Jpg’s typically will anti-alias text although some image editing programs allow you to either turn it off or set it to a lower value to keep text more sharp.
